ELIGIBILITY : Pass in 10+2, or equivalent with minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Age Limit is Minimum 17 Years & Maximum 25 Years.
On completion of the basis B.Sc. (N) Programme the students will :
Acquire knowledge of theory and principles of Nursing nd allied subjects which are involved in the delivery of comprehensive nursing practice.Apply scientific principles and knowledge in rendering health services in the hospital and community.Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care given.Participate as members of health team in the promotive, preventive and rehabilitative health care delivery system of the country.
Demonstrate skills in teaching, management, interpersonal relationship and communication.Demonstrate leadership qualities, problem solving and decision making abilities in various situations.Recognize the need for continued learning for their personal and professional development.Practice ethical values in their personal and professional life, rendering nursing care in a spirit of service to the welfare of the community.
Sardar Patel College of Nursing conducts a 3½ Year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery in Gwalior & Balaghat. The candidates are drawn from a pool of 12th standard passed science, arts and commerce students with 40 percent minimum marks on merit basis & belonging to 17-25 year age group are eligible to apply for admission.
Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife play a major role in improvement of the health & family welfare service. The millennium development goals can be achieved with their active work inb the community. Infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, TB, and Malaria can be prevented & health promotion can be strengthened for all ages especially maternal & child health.
